3.9L Thunderbird Engine

Just out of curiosity (found a really good price), would it fit in a '94!?
What also would be the main concerns with the swap

That 3.9L v8 is a smaller cousin to the 4.6L...and you know what has been said about that swap.

Actually, I haven't seen anything on that swap. I wouldn't imagine that the 4.6 would fit.

3.9L as in 2002 Thunderbird or 3.8L as in 1998 and prior?
Big difference. 3.9L is a new small V8. 3.8L is and old V6 design.
Neither engine is the swap of choice for Ranger. 5.0L/302 is the only easy way.

from what i understand.it has the same motor mount position as the 3.0 vulcan.with a different trans bell config.i almost tried the jag version from the xkr.but the price for the wreck was too high.it should bolt right in.but getting your non obdII truck to run it will be harder than the physical swap.it is not related to the mod motor (4.6/5.4) family.closer to vulcan
