EAC Merc FH and 48-52 T98 in F3

I have a nice rebuilt EAC Merc Flathead for my F3 that will go in someday - the current 8BA is all original and runs OK, but smokes a lot. I was thinking about running down a 48-52 Ford T98 for it, if that is even possible anymore. Will those two bolt up? I was told that the 53 Merc will bolt up to the existing T8 just fine and the T98 will bolt up to the 8BA, but sometimes, A < B < C does not always mean that A < C. I thought that I would ask the experts.

Thanks in advance.

No problems, as long as the T98 has the correct rear bearing retainer/mount.
