wheel bolt patterns

I'm going to order disc brakes for my 48 F2 they have 5 on 5 5 on 4.75 or 5 on 4.5 which one would be the best to go with and what rear ends would match the bolt pattern

The original bolt circle for a 1948 F2 is 8 lug 6.50." Three different wheels were available: 16" x 5.5" / 16" x 6" / 17" x 5.5."

I will dispense with asking you a bunch of questions which should be asked, and merely state my opinion that your best bet would probably be 5 X 4 1/2. Which is 60's to 80's? Ford and Chrysler. 5 X 4 3/4 is GM. Unsure of 5x5. The main question that I said I wasn't going to ask is what front and rear hubs/axles are you running? Whomever you are ordering from will, I'm sure, ask all the right questions.

Assuming you want to get away from the original 8 lug pattern of the F2, the pattern you select should depend on what rear end you use. The common 57-72 Ford nine inch is nearly a bolt in for your F2 and has a 5 on 5.5 pattern. If you went with that then the 5 on 5.5 pattern for the front would be the one you want. Determine first what rear end you will use on your F2 and then decide on the bolt pattern for the discs.
