Hi again, there is alot of info out there on what wheel fits what. I have a 52 F1 and I measure the bolt circle as 5.5 inches, this is measured from the back side of hole #1 to the center of hole #3. From articles I have read the bolt circle of this truck should be 5.0 inches, whats up with that. I want to get some wheels for my truck but I am only in the research stage, as I have no money to buy.
There is a wingding in the shape of the little square behind the number that seems to represent the 1/2" when it was presented for publication on the web. This can happen and does happen. Sometimes the keystroke from one font does not translate.
Reading below the reference to bolt patterns there is a sequence of numbers that has a 1 and a little square, then 2.00", then a 2 with a little square. Does this make any sense?
Thanks for clearing that up, now if I was looking for some steel rims that would fit my 52 what years are the same. I have found some off a 80's van and over the phone they appear to be the same bolt circle.
Ford used the 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern on the 1/2 ton trucks from 48 to 96, with a few exceptions. It's the same as older CJ Jeeps and Wagoneers. Still lots of good wheel choices, especially if you're wanting steel.
Thanks, I am wanting to get some wider steel rims, blast them and paint them with some nice trim rings and hub caps. They would look good with some 60 series tires.
I was thinking the bolt circle changed somewhere along the line on the trucks.
