Hello from Fort Bragg

Hey everyone. Just picked up my first ever Ford, a 2001 Excursion with the 7.3. Looking forward to learning everything I can from y'all and maybe even giving back what little knowledge I have. Thanks for the site!

I'll get some pics up in the next week or so. It is basically a stock Limited. Right now all my time is taken up between work, my little farm and reading everything I can about what I should be doing to the truck to get it as reliable as possible.

On a related note. I found the Preventive Maintenance thread but I'm curious if there are others I'm missing that would have a good list of mods needed for reliability and everyday driving. Not looking to make this a powerhouse but hey, 400+ horses that run every day is never a bad thing, right?

Also, just drove this baby home from Ohio today and both the trip computer and my hand calculations came up to 20 mpg.. Am I just the luckiest dude in the world or is something off? Because honestly, if it's going to run like that, I don't want to add ANYTHING to it.
