i'm retrofitting the wiring harnesses (and drivetrain) from a '95 F150 for use in a '52 F3 (yes, it is a complete nightmare).
i've been paring down the harnesses to just the essentials and am now removing unnecessary pins from the large harness connectors... but am wondering now if i've screwed up. i've cut out (at least some of) the circuits for ABS since this old truck most certainly won't have that feature, but it will utilize the VSS in the rear-end in order to drive the PSOM and the E4OD and keep the PCM happy.
however, trying to figure out which pins i can pull, i'm confused about how ABS plays into the VSS circuit. did i shoot myself in the foot? does the VSS in the rear-end also control ABS? does anyone know if those circuits are non-exclusive (meaning i can delete ABS but keep VSS)?
That single sensor in the rear axle feeds both systems so you can't remove any pins there, the way to "delete" ABS would be to simply disconnect the ABS controller and leave the wiring harness alone.
