introduction

I'm hoping to pick some brains about a 92 F250 RWD w/7.5L. Got it about 5 years ago and just got it on the road. Somewhere along the line someone swapped out the E4OD for a C6! Got a 96 E4OD for free and was wondering what I have to do to make it work since the solenoid bodies are different. Any ideas or info would be awesome!

Welocome to the forum. Don't forget to check out your local chapter and we (meaning I) love to see pictures of these trucks so please share!

There are people much much more familiar with the swap you are asking about so I'll let them answer your question, just wanted to say welcome!

The C6 doesn't have solenoids since it's not electronically controlled.

Is your free E4OD a big block model & not a diesel or small block model? Because they can't be converted.

Is the computer the original to the truck or was it replaced with a C6/manual trans unit?

Just some things that need to be answered.

Welcome to FTE & good luck. We all love pictures.

The free E4OD was from a van with a 460. The computer in the 92 is original as far as I know. If I have to do some wiring harness work that will be ok. Thanks.
