There are ecu/comtrol box you can get to run e4od separate from engine.
But to do a stock install there is wiring ,Ecu /pcm for your engine sized and with e4od , driveshafts (maybe)ETC .

nah the AODE is electronically controlled but the AOD isnt. Just be sure you get something rigged up for the TV(kickdown) cable, because AOD's are very sensitive about TV adjustment. If its very far out, it will burn up the tranny pretty quick.
