Door seal question

I have a 78 F100 regular cab and I was wondering if anyone makes door seals that do not need to be glued in place?

I have read that seals from a '92-'97 will work, after they are shortened a bit. Haven't done it myself, but have heard that they work well. Apparently the '92-'97 seals have a metal insert and doesn't require using adhesive.

Probably can get a set for next to nothing from your local Pick and Pull.
