I've had a bunch of Ford trucks and a ton of Mustangs in the past. I've always wanted an older Ford truck and like most love the late 60s-70s. For some reason the 67 styling has really spoke to me.
So I kinda have always been looking on websites and CL seeing what's out there. Well I finally pulled the trigger on one and can't wait to get it home!
1967 F250 2wd 352 FE 3 on the tree. Seems to be really solid and can't wait to start the long process and time ( funds permitting) of getting the old man on the road again.
I'm not sure my exact plan yet for it, but thinking keeping a stock exterior and interior, keeping the original drivetrain and lowering it slightly with some nice wheels but nothing too fancy. And of course a nasty sounding exhaust!
I hope to learn a lot about these trucks and pick your brains and hopefully some parts! Lol. I'm currently trying to line up a shipping company to pick the truck up, what a task! Any referrals are appreciated!
Here's a few pics as it sits now, I'll be taking more soon as it gets to its new home.
LadderDogV10 cool looking truck. just remember that there are a lot of 67 only parts for these trucks. 67/72 grilles will swap but you need the valance panel for what ever year of grille you use. also the doors can be swapped back and forth. however 67 is the only year that does not have the push button to lock the door. your truck also has the cool looking camper special emblems. imo. no one that i know of repop,s them that i know of .i went to a swap meet last friday and in one ziplock bag i got 2 390 emblems ,2 camper special emblems, 2 ranger emblems they need some paint. all for $20.00. i think that i might have done o.k. 67 is a one year only grille. good luck with your truck.
If I'm not mistaken, I think the color was called diamond green, some called it light green. It's not diamond green or light green, it's not any 'stock' color, because...
No COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate: Truck painted a non standard color per the original purchasers order. This makes the truck a Domestic Special Order.
Pic of Warranty Plate in post #4: DSO 745193:
74 = Seattle WA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
5193 = Domestic Special Order number. Truck ordered special by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."
Since there's no COLOR code, how did people get the paint formula if the truck needed to be painted?
Dealer contacted FoMoCo with 6 digit DSO .. FoMoCo looked up the order number, passed the paint formula back to the dealer.

Thanks for the info! What would be my best door options? What other parts are 67 specific?

Was it a Ford color from another vehicle? Possibly...*
They look the same, but looks can be deceiving.

I know I have seen that color on quite a few fords from that time, when I was a kid I remember the guy that owned a mustang that color said it was diamond green. Of course it was the 70's and I'm pretty sure he was a stoner
I always thought the color below was called diamond green lol
Diamond Green is almost white. Met a girl years back with a 67 Mustang that she had repainted white, because she thought that was the original color. She said it looked different afterward. I decoded her door tag to Diamond Green.
LadderDogV10 if your glove box door is the same color as the out side of your truck. take it to the nearest PPG paint store . they have a machine that can match your paint. i did this on a VW bug that i had years ago . you could not tell the diff. between the old paint and the new. it was spot on.
