Diamond Green is almost white. Met a girl years back with a 67 Mustang that she had repainted white, because she thought that was the original color. She said it looked different afterward. I decoded her door tag to Diamond Green.
That's almost the exact color my '68 Mustang was --Sea Foam Green. My Mustang's paint code was "O". It looked like an off white on a sunny day and an off yellow on a cloudy day.
Truck is a 3 on the tree standard trans but vin Warranty Plate says Cruise-O-Matic? No truck had a VIN plate until 1980. VIN plate located on the left corner of the dash, visible thru the windshield.

LadderDogV10 if your glove box door is the same color as the out side of your truck. take it to the nearest PPG paint store . they have a machine that can match your paint. i did this on a VW bug that i had years ago . you could not tell the diff. between the old paint and the new. it was spot on.
Thanks I'll try that. I would like to officially know the name and where it came from.
Was it a common practice to do a special order paint possibly from another line of cars back then?
LadderDogV10 how many pedals does it have.? i can kinda see swapping out a manual to auto. but not really going the other way. unless you were going to a 4-speed. but who knows. everybody likes diff. stuff. with a 50 year old truck who knows what kind of life it had.
I don't have the truck in my possession yet to confirm trans. Just going off what seller is telling me. But code says auto and I don't have a good pic that shows the pedals. He said it was a # matching drivetrain so guess I'll find out lol
