red arrow indicates turn signal & backup lights fuse

I've been working on this for a few days here's what I've learned so far
in the pic above I've have a diagram of my fuse box, and indicated the fuse that was getting blown. that's the one that controls your turn signals and back up lights
Installed a new turn signal switch, and that did not fix the problem when ever I used the turn signal the fuse would blow. I got some of the fuses that light up when power is applied So next, because
that fuse controls the backup lights I started checking the wiring for the back up lights. I pulled the pigtail from the back up light ( I installed a new pigtail that connects to the trans some time before this problem occurred ) this is the reason I pull the backup light wiring, and that checks out as ok. Ok so now my fuse in not blowing but I still am not getting blinkers or brake or hazard lights and no I'm not getting backup lights either still have the pig tail out.

So after all that on the first page of this thread, the fuse was really blown all the time? You are now at the beginning of this thread again on the first page. I would get a testlight or voltmeter and with the key in run, probe the flasher sockets and see if you have power. There is nothing wrong with checking things two, three, four times till you figure it out. Checking the socket will verify that fuse really is good and power is getting to the flasher.

We did check that and each of the light sockets
Now that the pigtail for the backup lights is disconnected when I use the turn signal switch and because I have the fusses that light when power is applied I can see that
but nothing in the tail lights

IIRC the heavy yellow wire is for the trailer lights. It plugs into a harness with a relay then back to the trailer connector.

What if you un-plug the harness going to the rear just below where that picture was taken. This way to removes the rear harness & lights from the picture of blowing the fuses.

Those fuses you bought, they light up only when they have power and are blown out correct?

what franklin said is true when lit the fuse in blown
My neighbor came over with his volt meter we pulled the plug to the tail light harness the one just under the master cylinder I made a jumper wire from the battery to the male side of the tail light harness, when I send power that way my lights work so I think that harness in good all my ground wires are intact and connected so after testing all this we are not getting power from the fuse box to the tail lights even thought the fuses are light

yes the lighted fuse is a blown fuse
I just tried some thing I put a 25 amp fuse in the turn signal spot (first pic) and the blinkers worked for a few seconds and the fuse blew I tried the same in the brake/hazard spot ( second pic) and the brake worked and the hazard lights
so with that done we know there is a short in the fuse box at the turn signal

Can you un-plug the turn signal switch and using a jumper do the same test like you did for the rear harness?
This way you know if it is the turn signal switch & harness or the rest it plugs into going forward.

The way you are doing it section by section is the only way I know of finding were the issue is so you can fix it.
I am thinking it is the switch if I had to guess.
