1967/69 F250/350: Two different types of wheels, two different types hub caps, "innies" & "outies."

Innie = So called because the hub cap snaps over tabs located on the inside of the wheels center section.

Outie = So called because the hub cap snaps over tabs located on the outside of the wheels center section.

1970/98 F250/350: All have outie wheels/hub caps.

1969/74 E300 & 1975/2014 E250/350: All have outie wheels & hubcaps.

But, FoMoCo did not offer radial tires for F100/350's until the mid 1970's, and then only as an option. Bias ply tires were standard equipment.

The P-Metric radial tires used since the late 1980's are a different shape than the earlier radials and the original bias ply's.

I love the look of my new truck. I want to wax but it has a cool patina to it right now. Any ideas on detailing products in the old paint.

I've got a set of the same style hubcaps and they fit my 16" rims. I don't recall the diameter of my caps, but I can measure them next time I'm out working on my truck.

Hope your ankle heals quickly!

Thanks I figured these tires and rims are pretty decent shape and fairly cheap with the tires already on them. I might try and get them a little cheaper since they have a little weather check. The ones on the truck have huge tread but super cracked up on the sides.

"weather checked" can also mean Dry rotted. Not 100% safe either. Check their date code. Legally, tires over 1 year old shouldn't be sold by companies. I wouldn't buy new tires over 2 years old. Determine how bad the dry rot is. And how old the tires are. This will determine how much you are willing to pay for them. If at all.

The date of manufacture is the last four digits of the DOT code. The first two digits are the week of manufacture, and the last two digits are the year. For example, if the last four digits of the DOT code are 0203, that means that the tire was manufactured during the second week of the year 2003.
