E4od to aod back to E4od

So I recently purchased a 1993 f250 5.8l for about 300$, but here's why lol the tranny has been having some problems so I went to change the fluid. Upon dropping the pan I immediately realized there was a AOD tranny in the truck as opposed to the e4od. From my understanding the aod doesn't require the harness plug from the e4od but it's still there. Would this give me much problems to drop a e4od back in it?

Well really what I'm asking is, was there any cables that would have been swapped with it and also the driveshaft length. Any info will be greatly appreciated!

Is this a 2wd or 4wd truck?
Does it have a TV cable attached between the trans and throttle linkage?

The E4OD is longer so it is likely a different driveshaft would be required.

So what problems are you having with the current trans?

its been slipping and not catching high gears and there there was a few big chunks of plastic? In the tranny pan, plus I've heard the e4od was able to hold more power. I like going with original set ups and I doubt I'm going to find another one with such low miles so I want to get all the work done now so it can last me a long time.
