sorry if this is already a topic, but I didn`t see anything on here about it. I´m just getting into the automotive scene and dont really know anything about cars or trucks, so Ill explain it as best as I can. Malon is a 1995 F-150 XL inline 6 with a 5 speed manual I bought used for 500 about a year ago. I was heading to work at 8 this morning and crossed Ingalls Ave. when my speedometer decided to have a rave for a few seconds (needle started tweaking all over the place and went to 0) right as I shifted into third @~25 MPH. Then I had to pull over because of a faint white smoke coming from between the dash and the black cowl around the gauge cluster. I shut it down, disconnected the battery and looked under the dash and the space where the radio used to be and saw nothing burning or any more smoke. I reconnected the battery, waitied a few minutes to see if it smoked again and drove off. the speedometer is working fine, odometer is fine, and no more smoke...any ideas what I should look at first and should I rename my truck "Fireball Express"? any info is greatly appreciated.
