Side door handle fix

So after some searching I couldn't find any real good info on how to fix my sliding door. The outside handle didn't work and you had to open the front door to get to the inside handle. Knowing the cables are known to go bad I ordered some aluminum cable ends from eBay.

Then the upper molding comes off. It's held on by metal clips on the door. They just pop off

Next I found the cable end that needed replaced. I cut the rubber end off and replaced it with the aluminum piece

That cable end was bad but wasn't my main problem. There's a screw on the back of the handle that had came loose

I drilled a hole so I could get a screw driver on it. Removed the screw and added loctite. Reinstall everything and your in bussiness.

Nice tutorial. I had the same exact problem when I purchased my van. Both the cable end was broken and that screw was loose. I didn't loctite the screw the first time and it loosened up again after about a year. I Loctited it the second time.

Yeah no problem. Hopefully it keeps someone from breaking their panel from improper removal of just saves them money from paying someone to do it. Took like 10 minutes even with taking pictures.
