2010 F-450 6.4 Super Duty. Running great for a long time, then stopped at rest stop, tried to start and nothing. Head Lights and interior lights worked. Tried locking and unlocking drivers door, used spare key, nothing. Noticed that chime did not sound when key was in ingnition and drivers door open, not lights or read outs in dash display (odometer or idiot lights) researched manual and changed out fuse #27 in fuse block in cabin, started up and ran fine. a few weeks later, I could start it up, but could not get it out of park? This was off and on and not every time. Scheduled appt with local dealer. Also noticed than when I started it, if the Compass did not register, I could not get it our of park, also when using the turn signal, it would some times register on the dash panel. All was disclosed and shown to dealer and they even experienced it, The diagnosed and determine they replace a diode, worked fine. 5 months later similar thing, would not start, did not notice anything wrong with compass. Would not start or come out of park, no light on dash and no "clicking" sound like battery dead. The same dealer determined from code reading that they replaced the ignition switch and diode. hopefully this solves the problem. Looking to see if there is anything else I should trouble shoot to make sure all is good? The truck only has 52,000 on it.

 

Check to see if the shifter is loose. You might also try a different dealer/shop. Like this for instance, .

What codes are you pulling and what codes were pulled before.

They should have given them to you.
