Won't start
Hi all. I have a 2000 F150, 4.2 5 sp manual 4X4, 68000 miles. Pulled the boat to the lake this morning, no problems. Killed it on the ramp, unloaded the boat. Started up just fine. Pulled it to park. Got out and started to go fish, then decided to pull up a little further. Went back to the truck, got in started it up, the truck made a strange noise, all dash lights flashed it spooked me and I turned it off immediately. Now, it will turn over but won’t start. While trying to start the sounds are the same just no start. Not throwing any codes I can read, just the theft light blinking about once per second. Any ideas & Thanks for the help!! Ranger.

Since the dash lights flashed I'm thinking your battery is going south and may be shorting out. If you can, try a different battery. If that doesn't fix it then the sensor that reads the chip in the key is out.

Hi all. A new wrinkle. Went out this morning to push truck into garage so I could work on it. Thought I would try and start, started right up. I’ve driven it all over town today and no problems. Now after a $130 roll back bill the thing is doing fine. Any ideas? Thanks,
