1964 Ford 600 Motor

Trying to find out what motor my 1964 3-ton F600 has, as I need to get a rebuild, or an upgrade to go onto the same tranny. It has a V8 Gas, 5 bolts holding on each rocker cover. Engine casting numbers barely visible, but something like C4AE 6013A

Truck made in Oakville Ontario
SERIAL: 4816074L - 182562F
ENGINE/TRANS: RN-5H/D2653

The 330 cid was most popular V8. Casting # for block is 6015 basic number. Didn't know F600 was a 3 ton. They were rated for 1 1/2. Could carry lots more.

Yes, that 4th digit on the casting is not at all clear, it could be a 5.
The plate shows a GVW of 23,000 lbs. This is still a backup truck for hauling grain off the field. Thanks for the reply!

Plate mounted on driver's side door-frame.

4816074L-182562F

4 = V8 engine (probably a 330 2V M/D FT .. based on the C4AE-6015-A* block casting number).

81 = Conventional Cab.

60 = 600 series.

74 = 174" wheelbase.

L = Left Hand Drive.

182562 = 1964 Numerical Sequence of Assembly, the trucks specific serial number.

F = 19,500-26,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating range.

*1964/67 FT 330 2V M/D shares some parts with the FE 352. 1968/78 FT 330 2V M/D shares some parts with the FE 360.
