From the "Should-a could-a" department:
All you needed was some 3/16" copper tubing (remember -3), two 3/16" brass ferrules, and two inverted compression nuts (these look very similar to inverted flare nuts).
So, you could have done it in all copper or steel line for less than the price of two feet of neoprene hose. Something to remember for next time. And tubing looks much cooler than hose when a bender is used.
I bought 1/4 od copper at Lowes to match the 1/4 id hose.
I figured to make neoprene joints and copper leads.
With ferrules soldered on and hose barbs it will bounce rather vibrate loose.
Safety wire wraps instead of hose clamps,
very Mad Max-ish...
If you anneal the tubing it bends like taffy.
but I shudda did it your way, my way will probably look like it was done by Jethro Bodine.
This thread is very handy to me since I'm about to plumb up my vacuum line and fuel lines. I have the old stock hard steel line to the 226 to use as a bend template and wanted to use copper to pretty it up.
Thanks guys!
Tom
