Tail light issue

I have a 94 F350 with no tail lights. All other lights work . There is a factory grey plug up above the rear fuel tank that gives power to the tail lights. The male side has power eliminating the headlight switch as the issue. The female side of the plug has no current. I have tried a different female plug, (which works fine on a different truck) but it still doesn't work on the 94 F350. All ideas welcome
