Oil Change Time
Hey y'all, just purchased a '79 f150 with a 351m... What is the recommended oil and filter?
I have been reading something about zinc additives and the what not.
Also, what weight is recommended for South Florida usually 80-90* F.

Oil: I like Valvoline VR-1 racing oil.
10w-30 is probably good for your temp.
Most oils don't have any zinc because it ruins the catalytic convers in modern cars. But modern cars have roller cams that don't need zinc.
New cams and bearings for our trucks love lots and lots of zinc!
