2000 Ranger crazy elecrical problem
Over a year ago I discovered I had no parking lights. Checked fuse in power distribution box #11 and sure enough it's blown. Replace it but as soon as I put in new one it pops. Did this several times, and this is with the switch turned off. Checked all lights for burnt wires and found nothing. Never did find the problem so the truck pretty much doesn't leave the farm. So after more than a year I decide to try again, install fuse and it doesn't blow but it makes #13 relay click as soon as it is put in and the parking lights come on even with switch off. So now lights are on all the time if fuse left in. Just hoping somebody may have an idea to this craziness.

Sounds like you have a hot wire shorted to ground,,,or to another wire. You will just have to track it down using a meter or test light or both. Here is a wiring link that will help. Save it and pass it along ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Search Wiring Diagrams

Just in case anyone else has this problem I finally got it fixed. The wires near the headlight switch had gotten melted together for some reason, as to why it would blow the fuse at first then went to lights on all the time I have no idea but I separated wires and taped up all bare wires and problem solved.
