Ok so I have found multiple threads where people are loosing tail lights, dash lights, and parking lights. Same issue here. I know it is fuse 8 under the hood and that it is a brown wire. My question is, does anyone know where most people find the short at?
I don't know where the others are finding their problem but I would start with what the circuits have in common, fuse (power supply) and the switch. I am sure somebody else will chime in.

Good Luck.
Eliminated the switch and fuse panel. Dead short in the brown wire that leaves the switch.
I would start at the back because the wires get nailed with road debris (especially trucks in areas like ours from the snow and ice) that clings to the wires and pulls at them. That is where I would look first for a dead short.
Well we could never find a bad spot in any wire. Ended up putting a new fuse in and it never blew so we are baffled. Maybe the fuses are like light bulbs, they burn out after a while. I doubt that but guess it is a possibility. Going to run with the new fuse and see what happens.
