Hello all, first time being here, first time posting. I have a 2004 6.0 F250. Recently I have had the High Pressure pump replaced ( within the past 6 months ). 2 days ago, I was driving my truck in my neighborhood, and went down a paved ditch ( water run off ) going at roughly 10mph, as soon as I came out of the ditch, I started to immediately lose throttle response, and as I pressed on the gas pump, no rpm's were showing, and eventually ( within 100 feet ), the engine was choking itself into shutting off. ( ie it sputtered and then the engine died ).
After several attempts to restart the engine, I ended up having to have the vehicle towed 1.5 blocks to my house ( I live in a very small community in Utah ). After getting it home safely, I tried several attempts to start the truck. It was hard start, start no crank, or if it started, there was no throttle response, and no RPM response, and then the engine would eventually sputter until it died.
Just today, I replaced both fuel filters, pulled the fuel / water separator plug and drained the water / fuel out. After priming the fuel filters, I am still getting the same results as listed previously.
The next nearest town to me is over 50 miles away, and have no way of getting it towed to a mechanic to have it looked at. Any suggestions, help, advice, and knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
You need a gauge that can read live data without this you can not properly diagnose the truck and there really isn't anything anyone can do for you with out data scangauge ii edge insight cts or one of the smart phone apps to name a few. Most advanced autos and auto zones have the scangauge in stock. At advanced you can buy online and pick up in the store and get 30% off with code trt30. Sounds like you have a high pressure oil issue again do you know what kind of pump they put in it replacements aside from the Adrenaline pumps even ford don't have a good track record. Once you have a gauge we will know for sure though.
