Going with manual hub conversion are Ford hubs good or should I go with Warn. Warn hubs are alot more then the Ford hubs.

What year truck do you have?

I plan on upgrading my 99 to Warns. The 99-04 crowd does like to upgrade, I believe the 05+ is far better from Ford.

I put Warn manual hubs on my 2006 F350 - very easy to install (and I'm no mechanic). They have a nice solid feel to them.

You may find the Warn hubs to be more affordable.

Warns are junk on the 99-04 super duty, my dad has them on his 2000 and me on my 2004. My dad's clunk all the time while in 4wd warn finally sent him the newer spiral snap ring and that fixed almost 90% of the clunking. On my 2004 even with the new spiral snap ring and disassembling the hubs and applying grease mine clunk all the time. Reason being the inner gear is a little loose so the axle shaft moves around second problem the dial and oring is a 1/16th inch too small for the unitbearing and it moves around. I'm selling mine and buy the free spin conversion for my truck...
