I assume if you simply only had either the "Rear View Camera - Tailgate" or the "CHMSL" camera (or even no camera)......... you could still use this system at install any cameras, etc. that you want. (i.e.- you don't need the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System to add/use this interface)
I like it because I can add a front camera that I can switch to anytime while driving, or a rear camera that I can switch to while driving...I'm even thinking about putting a camera inside my toy hauler so I can check on the motos while I'm driving.
I've had to stop a couple times to check before, would love to just hit a button and see whats going on inside.

Ok team, I enjoyed the it and theory discussions, but I have to ask the question, has anyone done this yet? If not, does anyone have access to the camera wiring diagrams?
My interest come from a desire to take a small form computer and installing tensorflow (neural network type software) to read the feed from a dash mounted camera to give me real-time updates on speed, warn the driver of an upcoming stop sign if the speed isn’t decreasing, red lighting warning....for when the sun is in our eyes, record the camera views for the last 20 mins, and a few other things. I would love to be able to tap into the system using a pigtail setup to keep from tapping wires and reconfigure connectors. Of course my search of the internet hasn’t produced the correct diagrams for the current model year...
Thoughts on where to find our diagrams?
