Check engine light code help needed 89 f250
I got code 18, 34, 82
code 18 tach input to pcm signal lost (I've already replaced icm)
code 34 evp sensor above threshold (egr was replaced)
code 82 air management 1 ckt malfunction .
any ideas on testing and figuring out my problem. Thanks

Code 18 (KOER): SPOUT circuit open
My manual does not show that is a KOEO code.
Code 34 (KOER/CM/KOEO): EVP voltage above closed limit
Code 82 (KOEO only): Air Management 1 (AM1) circuit failure
Code 34 is probably a bad EVP sensor if the code is from KOEO. If it comes up only in KOER then you probably have a leaking/bad EGR Valve Regulator (EVR).
Code 82, is the TAB/TAD solenoid plugged in? Since you have a F250 you probably only have the one solenoid.

thanks for quick response. Yes I think what's happening with the code 18 is my ignition control module keeps getting loose distributor mounted.
the code 34 . I have replaced the egr valve already . Tested the sensor and was within specs .
as far as the code 82 is that the sensor that's near the ignition coil ? If so yes it's plugged in
Is the SPOUT plug inserted in the holder? This is the shorting bar that allows the computer to control the timing signal to the ICM. Code 18 indicates there is an open circuit.
What was the EVP sensor output KOEO and KOER?
I do not have a good picture of a single TAB/TAD solenoid, but yes it is a single solenoid (not a sensor) near the distributor. Unplug it, then measure the resistance with a meter. It should be very close to a short circuit.
