Parking Brake

I think the electric parking brake is great. Then I read the manual and realized I haven't been following it at all. I stop, may or may not put the truck in park first, pull the switch, light comes on and I am done. When I leave I simply put the truck in drive or reverse and drive off, the parking brake releases on it's own automatically. No switches to flip, no concerns whatsoever. Just stick it in gear and drive away. The manual outlines a multiple step process that includes releasing the brake by pulling the switch? WTF?

To release the break you just put your foot on the brake pedal and push it in... is that really a "multiple step process" worthy of "WTF?" Normally the automatic system works as you've described.

You can release the electric parking brake
either manually by pressing the switch or
automatically.
