I have a 1963 F 250 4x4. It currently has a flat bed on it, I'm not sure if it is original but it is the same green as the cab. I am debating putting a bed on it, looking at the LMC catalog there is only an option for a flare side bed on that year and model. Did that year 4x4 not come with the style side bed?
Also the 65 style side beds should fit on mine correct?

Did that year 4x4 not come with the Styleside bed? 1961/65 F100/250 4WD; 1961/66 F350; 1962/63 F100/250 2WD (not Uni's); 1966 F250 4WD only available with 1957/60 F100/350 Styleside beds.
Also the '64/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD styleside beds should fit on mine, correct? Probably not due to your '63 F250 4WD's wheelbase. Your truck could have come with a 1957/60 F100/250 8' Styleside bed. F350's came with the 9' Express bed.
Genuine Ford 1957 and later flat & stake beds have F O R D block letters embossed on the rear body panel.
The problem with 1961/66 F100/350's is, there is no way to verify what "back of cab" equipment (if any) they came with.
The VIN decodes to F100 or F250 2WD or 4WD or F350. There's no mention if a pickup or w/a factory installed flat or stake bed.
The MODEL stamped on the Warranty Plate decodes to F100 or F250 2WD or 4WD or F350 and whatever the specific GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is.
Again, there's no mention if a pickup or et cetera.
FoMoCo THREW AWAY all the records of these trucks decades ago, so now we're all up the proverbial creek without a paddle and the boat is sinking.
Thanks ND! The truck is at my uncles house in another state. I will check out to see if the bed is stamped FORD. Right now I'm doing my research and weighing my options of what to do with the truck.
