I'm sure that someone has done it and I'm sure it would look like a 60's style bed on a '75..................I can't imagine that it would look very good. Unless you are referring to a Flareside bed then it would look OK because the fenders are the same on the 60's beds and the late '70's beds.
Styleside 8' bed wheelbases: 1973/79: 133" / 1967/72: 131" / 1965/66: 129" / 1964: 128" (the 1964 F100/250 2WD bed is the same as 1965/66 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD).
1961/65 F100/250 4WD, 1966 F250 4WD use the 1957/60 Styleside bed. Called the "wrong bed" by enthusiasts of these trucks, because the bed's body lines do not match up to the cab.
Installing a 1964/72 bed onto a 1973/79: Not only are the wheelbases different, but the body lines will not match up.
1973/79's have an indentaion (Dentside) / 1967/72's have a raised scallop line (Bumpside) / 1964/66's have neither.
