What if it's a 6 sp manual?

Do I really need need the AE or long lead injector in my 2000 7.3 ? , or can I use the AD for all 8 cylinders ?

That AE injector came into use a little later and the truck will run fine with 8 AD's. That AE is supposed to eliminate some sort of cackle at idle.

 

What Mark said. The FRX cross over is supposed to remedy the cackle so the AE is not necessary.

I purchased 8 New ,not rebuilt AD's and the mechanic put in my 7 new AD's and a rebuilt AE im sure he thought he was doing me a favor, he said he will install my new AD at no charge if that is my wish. I will do that and also install the cross over.

 

Was gonna say, but they beat me to it. The FRX is affordable and fairly easy to do yourself.
