What would be an accurate tire pressure for street using? Tires are 35 BFG, truck is a singlecab 77 F150 more or less always empty, 1-2 People carrying. Towing once in a while an 1 ton boat.
I usually run 10 under max on my trucks. Tire wear is even and handles and drives good. And still enough air to fill trailers and accosionally have a ton in the back.
I always adjusted the pressure to fit the tire and truck. Find a smooth hunk of pavement. Get a piece of cardboard and put in front of tire, drive over it with just one wheel, look at pattern, and adjust tire pressure to get a consistent pattern across the cardboard. Has worked for me for several decades. After I wore out the centers of my first set of 36" Gumbo mudders back in the 80's.
I had a Landcruiser 4x4 with a 351C, 5000lb ready to roll, fitted with 35" Mickey Thompson M/T's.
It came with them at 40psi and was awful - wandered at high speed and very harsh ride. I set them back to 22psi and it was much better. Tyre wear didn't really change.
