92-96 Headlight assembly opinions

I was just wondering what everyone here thought about the aftermarket headlight assemblies they offer for our trucks. From what I have heard a lot of them are poorly made, and do not fit as well as the OEM ones. Anyone had any experience with these LED halo black projector lights specifically? They are they only ones that caught my eye, but I can only find a few pictures of them installed on google. Id hate to shell out 160$ and them look dumb on the truck haha. I am between these and just getting a stock replacement and keeping the amber reflectors. I put a ebay link to the halo ones below if anyone wants to take a look.

[LED Halo] 1992-1996 Ford Bronco/F150/F250/F350 Projector Black Headlights Pair | eBay

Thanks in advance, Travis

here is a picture of my truck, if that helps anyone. You can see the discoloration in the passenger side headlight

Before buying any sort of aftermarket light be sure to check if there are any recalls on them, and whether you are getting the correct version. You can find recall info by searching for your vehicle on the NHTSA website.

I personally feel like the stock style is just fine. I see kids putting halo lights and **** on these trucks and it just looks bad.

Agreed; while I can appreciate the function, I think they look cheap and trashy. Good bulbs in stock housings are just fine.

Wet sanding and then shooting with a gloss clearcoat will take them back to original. And if you add a wiring harness with relays to run them directly from the battery you will see a big improvement for very little time and money. I think I spent $35 and that was with buying the harness from Bronco Graveyard. I had enough materials to sand and coat the taillights as well after I was done with the front.

Thanks for the input guys! and I would wet sand and shoot it with some clear coat but the light has a crack through it and I can pivot the light out like 25 degrees haha. I might be able to reseal it but I think it would be more work then its worth. There is a quite a few forums about the relay from the battery, I have not got around to doing it, but everyone says it makes a huge difference.

If it's cracked and all just go to a PNP and buy a whole new one for $5, then it's easier to sand and clear out of the truck.

I replaced the headlights on my son's 95 F150 with a set I got on Amazon. I think they were only about $35 each. They don't fit exactly the same as the OEMs, but they've been on there for over 2 years and still look like new.

^^most people just look for the biggest, brightest, most obnoxious headlights they can find. Legal or not. Nice, clear factory lights are more then adequate.

Few idiots driving around with those LED light bars mounted on the front bumper turned on. Blinds the F)#* out of you. Wish I was a cop!

I put these in my 97 when I restored it. They fit like OEM, were simple to adjust(I reused OEM adjusters) and in the 3 years I had the truck, they never fogged up or went hazy

There is no way that I would consider any of those one piece headlight setups. They are just overpriced junk in my opinion. Either get OEM replacements or a decent quality set of replacements. TYC makes a pretty good light. Vision is an awful brand, so stay away from them.

I agree with the comment about not going with extremely bright or annoying lights. Just stick with regular non blue or fake white colored bulbs GE Nighthawk and Phillips Extreme Vision are my favorites. They are not over wattage or blue. Adding a pair of relays will also allow the bulbs to operate at full voltage. That should make adequate non blinding light.

Cool headlight change

I changed my 1996 f250 lights and grill and looked at hundreds of choices but settled on headlights that came with halogen bulbs and they were p[lug and play and give off twice the light. So look at them all before deciding.
