I never tried that.. Just used a regular casting rod and reel with a hook and bait

I see quite a few where we camp casting with a lure. They do catch some fish. I think there is a bait ban in this river.

Illinois is overrun by deer most of the time. We have a problem with them eating the bushes in our yard. Hundreds of deer and automobile encounters every year here.

Ya same here. Anything you plant needs to be something they may not like. Some of them have no fear at all. Some can be pretty aggressive. Had one kick the crap out of a guy when he got between the mom and her baby.

We also have coyote roaming the neighborhood at night. Might be why the rabbit population has dropped in recent years.

I haven't heard of any in town here but can hear them off in the distance some nights.
