Oil pan search

I have an oil leak on my 1986 F250. The gentleman I have doing it for me, (this crippled up old fart isn't doing this in my gravel driveway ) wants to use a later style oil pan. As in a 1989 to 1996.

It has the support strips that go under the bolts.

I need the pan, support strips and bolts please, if anyone has this or knows where I can get one, I would appreciate it. I can find the pan and bolts, no luck with the support strips.

He likes to do this to use rubber gaskets. Also, any thoughts are welcome.

Good question, I haven't tried as the online search was futile. I will check with them tomorrow.

Who did you get the pan thru? or need that too?
Granted I am sure you can get the pan thru others than dealer but the rails I would think is a dealer only item.

Rock Auto said they have some dealer only items try them?

Found pans at local junkyards. Also Dorman and others make pans . Tried Rock Auto. Guess I need to find a junkyard that hasn't pulled it off the engine yet. Don't know why they can't keep stuff together.

Also it has the screw in dipstick.

Didn't have any luck on PartsVoice, but that could be me.

Ford sells the later style rear sump pan with the push in dipstick and pickup extension under the # M-6675-A460

This is a FRPP number but can be ordered through a dealer.
Pretty sure this is the pan Bill Voss is using on Darth.

Thanks, I'll have to see if that will work without the rails that he wanted.

That's what I've run into is that I can't find the strips or rails.

I have an 80-97 460 oil pan with screw in dipstick hole, not sure on flange thickness but I will check. I've never had issues with pans sealing for these 460 trucks. I use 1 piece rubber gasket with metal inserts. I'd never go back to a traditional gasket. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-6710-a460

Thanks cadunkle, FF2 and AWT for the replies. I like that gasket. Hopefully we will go that route. I really like the price! As the Kinks sang, "I'm on a low budget".

No such thing. 460 not available in 1980/82 F250/350.
Only E250/350's were available w/a 460 in 1980/82.

E7TZ-6675-A .. 460 2WD/4WD Oil Pan

1983/88 F250/350 & 1988 F(Super Duty); 1989 F250/350 & F(Super Duty) before production date 3/28/1989.

1989 F250/350 & F(Super Duty) from production date 3/28/1989.

1980/89 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog lists the threaded/non threaded 460 dipstick tubes for 1988/89 Econolines, but not for 1983/89 F250/350 & 1988/89 F(Super Duty).

Grumpin, the pan I have is a normal stamped pan. No reinforcements around the bolt holes and if it had any load spreaders I don't have them, just a bare rust free pan. If you want it you can have it for whatever you think is fair.

Thanks Bill!

Cadunkle, thank you! I ordered the gasket today and we're going to see if it will work. Sure looks like it will. I will keep your kind offer in mind, I do appreciate it.

ArdWrknTrk, I agree, I will rep Cadunkle.

Follow up!

Thanks to all for your help.

cadunkle, that gasket worked great! I now have a new rear main seal and that pan gasket. Worked great with the original pan as you suggested.
