Attaching chrome 66F100

I lost the short cowl chrome strip from my 66f100 CustomCab. The clips are still there. I bought a replacement strip from Carolina Classics. Anyone out there have ideas on the easiest way to reattach it? Thanks, j66b

To my recollection those clips just snap into the holes and don't have the backing nuts like the bedside strips do. I think you can pull them out, slide them into your trim piece and snap the them back into the cowl. You might wait for someone to verify that...I'm relying on memory. Also post this question in the 66 forum....this section is for 67-72 inquiries, so you might be more apt to get a quicker response.

Today (Thursday) the OP asked this question in the 1961/66 forum, got plenty of responses.

1965/66 body side mouldings use two different types of 'butterfly' clips (C3AZ-6229120-A & C4TZ-9929120-A) that attach to the body with speed nuts.

The cowl mouldings use one each of these clips per side.
