we use the weather map feature quite often and have discovered our new F350 displays the map without the radar showing. Has anyone else experienced this, and have you found a "cure"? The navigation appears to be working, but haven't really had a chance to really try it out, but that will change in a couple of days. Our Sync is 2.2 if that helps. Our last two trucks worked flawlessly, and believe me we are not computer savvy, so any and all help greatly appreciated. The dealership couldn't fit me in to check it out!
These trucks come with 5 years of Sirius Travel Link service. Even if you do not renew your Sirius/XM subscription you will still have access to travel link and all its features
Been a few days. Did you find a cure? We haven't noticed any issues with ours, but have had to wait a few minutes for it to show weather on screen. David
No cure, all we see is a weather map without the radar. Traveling and need/want it, so will call and see if there is a reboot or some other possible reason/fix. Our last two Ford trucks both worked fine
I would power cycle the Sync system. It looks like fuses 32 and 33 on the fuse panel in the passenger compartment. With the ignition/accessory switch turned off and at least one of the front doors open, pull both fuses for,30 seconds or so. That should be a hard reset of Sync.
And those buttons don't show for long. On ours, I usually have to tap the screen a couple of times to keep them showing before I can ensure I've got them set the way I want. Also, on ours the button must turn blue to be on/active. David
You need to make sure you have the option for radar showing. It might be under "storm" or something like that. There are several options you can show or hide, like wind speed, etc. Also, make sure there is precip in your area or nothing will show.
