Thanks Dave and ND. I'm going to get it all back together and will update. Any other tips to getting this front end back together are always appreciated. To heck with bumbling around in the dark like I did to get it all apart!
Finally got it all back together...Almost. Drag link and tie rod are being a pain. My own fault for marring up the threads. Does anyone know if this product will be correct for my 65?? Been burned once already. Auto Extra Mevotech MES362R Tie Rod End

Short tie rod end connects to draglink, then connects to long tie rod with adjustable sleeve, then the long tie rod connects to the left steering arm.
The thing is, you need to verify what this Amazon aftermarket aka "gypo" tie rod end fits, because there is more than just one.
FoMoCo: C5TZ-3A130-A .. Tie Rod End & C5TZ-3A131-A .. Tie Rod: 1965/72 F100 2WD; 1965 F250 2WD; 1966/71 F250 2WD with 12 1/8" x 2" front drum brakes.
C5TZ-3304-C .. Draglink: 1965/70 F100/250 2WD; 1971 F100/250 2WD before serial number M00,001.
Okay. I'm after the tie rod end that connects to the drag link. Got the new drag link and outer tie rod, but round one with "gypo" was a loss. This thing was obviously too short out of the box. Luckily they refunded me and didn't want the part returned
Just because they say it's a fit doesn't mean it is!!
