I am going to check it out. Thank you. I may not like what I find. But thanks again. I never heard of that.

This is the clump of wires tucked up in my bumper. Looks like theres 2 open connections.

here's the markings on my bumper. Looks like a hitch was here at one time.

ALL rear bumpers were optional.

Stylesides available with an optional chrome or painted contour bumper or a chrome or painted argent step bumper.

Factory step bumper has 6 brackets (3 per side), aftermarket step bumpers usually have the brackets made as part of the bumper.

We are dismantling my truck with each post. Lol! My chrome bumper (which is bent anyway) has 2 brackets attached to the frame, also 2 angled braces near the ends of the bumper. I thought it was original since the license plate lights say FORD on them.
