Unsuccessful Classified Experience

So I posted an ad in the classified section of FTE, but I haven't been successful; I've had one reply that never replied back.
This isn't an indictment of the FTE Classifieds, though. I think it's a great system, and I thank the guys for making it free. I just wonder if I could go about it better from my end.
Do you guys have any tips?
Also, are there any other free classified boards on the net? I have found a few, but they are not really free; your ad gets put back 1500 ads unless you pay for premium service.
I really need to part my truck out quick, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tips

1) Don't post in Upper Case

2) Include a photo if you can

3) Be patient

4) Remember that *Summer* is the Time for being outdoors and not near the computer.

5) Once the fall arrives there will be more traffic.

6) Try say as much about the part in as few words as possible

7) Always maintain a High Level of integrity.

I've sold a lot of things in the Classifieds.

I Guarantee the condition of each and everything I sell, according to how it was described to the buyer.
Plus,
I package everything in such a way so that if there was any damage done to the part, it was willfully done by the shipping company.

Not really classifieds, but a great way for tons of people to see your items is eBay. Cost to sell really isn't very much...and you may end up getting more for the parts than expected. Add a picture in your listing, free from eBay, and that will boost the sales. Like I said, not classifieds, but maybe a possibility.

Thanks, Dennis.
I guess I am just being impatient...
I am trying to appeal to the guys in my area; they can come check out the truck and buy what they need. I really don't have a good way to collect $$ if I shipped the parts abroad.
And integrity? Who, me? I wouldn't even consider it!
Integrity is for political slogans and Army recruiters.
I have posted a few ads on pin-up boards in the area, but I am one of those guys that doesn't like to give out my number, so the e-mail route is the most comfortable option for me. I just don't like goofballs calling my house, (except maybe you guys) but I suppose I'll have to just do it...

Unsuccessful Classified Experience

After a major screw up on my very first sale to a guy in California for $600. worth of stuff, The only way I do business is by International Money Order.

That was I receive a bonified payment that is instant instead of having a holding time before send the parcel.
The post office gives the best exchange rate and they accept the Money Order as payment for the shipment.

The way I have done it for a year now has made many friends know that whatever they buy,I will stand behind it.

It is important to have the best carrier also. With me it is the postal service.

Why?

Because, unfortunately I presently have a squabble with UPS where they screwed up the entire transaction ,that is 9 months old that involves $600.00

I have gone to the head of UPS Canadian division to get satisfaction.if he doesn't come through I won't be using UPS ever again.

My company uses UPS, and they recently tried to quabble over a $200 package that we paid to insure. I went rounds with them for 3 months, with no results or even a callback. So we stopped using them for a week.
They came running with a $500 check, and pleaded with us for forgiveness. I laughed in the reps face, accepted the check, and now we get free insurance up to $700. I guess when you ship 50+ packages a day at local rates, you get some attention when you stop.
UPS has no integrity, neither does FedEX. The Postal Service does a good job, though, if you luck out.

What I have noticed with the UPS and FedEx drivers is now they do not even have you sign for the packages. I guess it takes too much time and maybe their gizmo pad tracks them via GPS walkig to your door. They just leave the packages on the doorstep or outside the door.
