Has anyone seen hubs like this?

Hoping some of you have seen something like this. I have to replace the hubs in my 85 F250 with a Dana 44. It has Warn Manual hubs, but when I looked at replacement hubs, none of them will fit. Neither the premiums or standards.

This spline that goes on the spindle is 1 - 1/8" and has a C-clip retainer. All of the new hubs I looked at are 1 - 1/4", which extends too far so the C-clip won't go on. It's flush with the entire hub assembly.

I looked at several types of hubs, all that were available for Ford, Chevy, and Dodge (many overlap) but couldn't find any hubs that have 1 - 1/8" like this.

Has anyone seen this before? Did I end up with some strange unicorn hub from the 80s?

i have never seen a different locking hub for the 85, all D-44 locking hubs have always been the same 19 tooth design. maybe the old warns had a tighter axle gear?

Like TJC said, I haven't seen any weirdness in Ford hubs. Sometimes the axle shaft slips inboard as you install the hub, so it seems like the hub is too thick. But in that case you can push the axle out reaching in through the knuckle.

Also you might want to post questions on your truck in the '80 - '86 forum. That forum gets more traffic than this one, and there are a lot of people who know this generation of truck inside and out, while people on this forum are scattered over a lot of different years.

Chances are your axle has slid back, you just need to push it back out and slip on your new hub.

I agree, try prying the axle out towards the hub.
