Anybody know the correct part number for the pulley on a standard 30 amp generator, without AC or whatever. 292 V8 manual column shift.

Even better, what I'm really trying to figure out is the actual diameter since this factors in to the correct charging rate. Thanks.

Thanks ND, I guess it's listed here...

... somewhere in the ninety-eight [98] pages, but my eyes glazed over and I had to go lay down for a while.

That's an interesting question, maybe ND or somebody can help. The problem is, after this many years they've been disassembled and rebuilt so many times, parts swapped around. Not sure what the internal difference is, a different (more windings?) armature or maybe field coils?

As a practical matter though it wouldn't make any difference since the truck wiring itself and the voltage regulator is rated for 30 amps. Where a problem would arise if a 30 amp generator is installed and a higher rated regulator installed. The armature would start slinging solder if too many accessories were drawing current above the limit the generator can safely provide. Remember the wiring harness itself in the truck is only rated for a 30 amp generator afaik. There's something like 5 to 8 amps headroom when everything is running at night, not including a radio.
