Skid Plates?
Ok so I ordered the Off Road pkg with 4X4 on Ult. Lariat CC, diesel SWW.
said it included "skid plates"
call me old fashioned but isn't it steel plates covering oil pan and transmission? don't see any down there???

Looks like its just the gas tank:
Four-wheel-drive shoppers can also spend $295 on the FX4 Off-Road package, which adds special decals to the truck’s box, Rancho shocks front and rear, hill descent control, a transfer case, and skid plates to protect the fuel tank.

^^^ This. I've had one of each of the last three generations of SD, all with skids. The skids are always transfer case and fuel tank. Never engine and trans.

No, you can order the skids without the FX4 as a stand alone option. That's what I did.

Would any of you guys have the part numbers? Couldn't seem to locate them on the ford parts page.

I don't but someone looked them up and they were a lot more than if ordered from the factory. I think the fuel tank one alone was $300 and both were about $100 at the time of build. That said, I have a SB fuel tank one coming up for sale when I get my Titan 55 gallon tank installed...

Well worth It
I have a 17 CCLB FX4 with the 48 Gal tank. The Fuel Tank skid plate is substantial, and well worth the price. The tank is well protected. This is good as the tank is large. Lots of area with potential for damage from flying road debris if not protected.
