4wd ugly front frame
For yrs, I really hated the way the lower front frame cross over is below the bumper.
Well one weekend while browsing through some items at the loco flea-market, I came across the Ford truck door sill.
I instantly had a brain fart vision of what to use it for in the following photos.
Orich
First finished getting the front hitch receiver welding.
Then slid in placed the door sill close up.
Then stood back about 10 ft to see what it look like.

Disregard some of the photo dates~!
I have now completed the mounting in April 2017.
I have no idea what yr of truck this sill came off of..

I just went outside and looked at one of our Parts Delivery trucks. It's a 2014 F150 regular cab. It has that scuff plate. For the truck application it makes a difference R/S or L/S. For your application it wouldn't make any difference. If you look close your scuff plate has 14 raised notches on the passenger's side and 16 on the driver's side. Those raised notches are what's reversed on the R/S and L/S part numbers.
R/S.....Ford part number.....9L3Z1613208BA.
L/S.....Ford part number.....9L3Z1613209BA.

Had to trim it for the receiver in the last photo, I've have since painted the eye bolts flat black that looks better.
I got a step that fits into the receiver or a vise mounted on a steel plate that welded fits into the receiver if needed front or rear bumper receivers.
I don't have a lift kit installed under truck an still need a box plastic like milk box to stand on when working under the hood most of the time.
This was the main reason for the front receiver was for a step.
