FYI. If you want to remove foil, adhesive, oil, and anything within about 10 ft, use Aircraft Stripper.
I'd suggest using it far away from anything good or painted or chromed, or living...LOL. Wear gloves and a face shield for the splash.
Then go chase the pink elephants

We have only experienced a modest increase in AIT's, while EGT's remained normal. We have not seen any decrease in power or increase in fuel consumption. We do however keep the air filter extremely clean, as well as the interior of the intercooler system. These two important PM procedures reverse any increase in the AIT the foil delete may cause.
We bought the truck new in late 2001, and it only has 400,000 hot Florida miles on it. Still running stock injectors, and tranny, HPOP etc.

It is a 1980 model. They are made in Japan. 2 cyl diesel, 4x4, 2 spd rear and 2 spd PTO. Made by the company that makes Ford and New Holland small tractors. Very low hours but sat outside before I bought it.
