2004 Ford Expedition
Monday Last week my trans started acting up 4r75w on a 04 5.4l, Friday I replaced the transmission with a 4r70w out of a 04 4.6l expedition with only 10k on a rebuild, didn't finish install til Sunday Evening, We'll this transmission is doing the exact same thing as the last transmission I don't know what to do now don't have the money to take it to ford and no decent small shops near me. What should I look for? All fuses are good I have unplugged the ECM and plugged it back in double checked the plugs on the transmission everything is plugged in and tight I don't know what else to check the fluid was flushed through the system and fresh fluid installed 12 qts now this new fluid appears to be getting over heated torque converter was replaced as well. Any help is appreciated this is my only vehicle currently.

First thing to do is have the codes read with a scanner that is capable of retrieving the transmission codes, the cheap scanners in most cases cannot read transmission codes.
Once you have the codes you will have a better chance of fixing the problem, it could be as simple as the MLPS switch or the VSS sensor.
Get the codes before you do anything else and post them up here and I or someone else can guide you towards a solution.

Ran scanner on truck today, showing no tc's shows the shift solenoids are not having faults as well as the tcc is showing low line pressure at 30 psi at idle in drive park and reverse showing and driving @ 35 mph running 3000 rpm it's maxing out at 51 psi. Stuck in Fail safe.
