I own a beautiful 1992 Silver Anniversary Edition Bronco. You will find a couple of photos in the gallery named "Silver Anniversary". I just installed a high compression 351W. This truck has seen rain very few times in the past14 years or so. Anyways, I am writing this to seek some opinions. I have been offered $10.000 for this vehicle, which I am considering. However, a salesman at a local Ford Dealership told me that based on the fact that this is one of only few Silver Anniversary models made and that the Bronco's are no longer made and that "OJ" had placed a name on the Bronco's, these vehicles will be eventually worth much more in the future if kept in good shape. Therefore, would it be wise just to keep this baby dry and running?
I say keep it and park it the salesman is right about ti being worth money they have quite high resale values as is. Even more if the emblems havent been stolen. Keep the truck in good condtion and when it comes to selling it you won't be dissapointed.
Does anyone know a exact count of howmany of these were made? I have a 91 SA also but the prvious owner didn't keep the cosmetics up that well. It does have all the emblems but the truck could use a re-spray and seats re-covered. I bought it because it was a good deal, knowing nothing about broncos. Has monster bumpers and nerf bars. It was a bonus to find out that these are some what rare. :-)
Silver Anniversary's are indeed 1991's. Just do the math. It was the last year of the big square headlights and grille. 1992 marked the last front end redesign before the stallion's demise at the end of 1996. Not certain of the actual unit count for anniversary editions but the seats are upholstered in red leather...a first for the Bronco up to that point in time. There should be a pair of "Silver Anniversary" badges mounted on the "B" pillars (one on each side) at about eye level.
My leather is grey with red piping. Both badges are there as well as a red Silver Anniversary badge on the passanger side dash. Too bad mine is a little beat up, but for 2400.00 i couldn't resist. Of course he was asking 3950.00 but i am too good a sweet talker LOL.
Thank you all for your replies. And yes, it is a 1991 not a 1992. That was a key stroke error. Anyway's based on your replies and other research I have done, I decided to keep it. As you can tell by the photos located in the gallery titled "Silver Annivesary" it is in excellent condition. Also, it is gray leather with red striping.
Lukedraper I do not know if this edition came with 5.0, but my stock engine was a 351W or 5.8 whichever you choose. However, as I said before the engine and exhaust have all been substantially upgraded.
