Singlecab to Supercab help!
I have a 1976 F-100 that I posted here before looking for help on getting some parts to fix the rust, and was given information on where to find them. But as I was starting to order them I thought about it, and I really want to make my truck a Supercab. So I was wondering instead of spending money on fixing rust on a cab I would like to replace in the future, how hard would it be to just get a new supercab. Ive talked to people and they said I would need to extend the frame to replace my current cab with a super, but I figured I could just cut my bed and make it shorter to fit the Cab. I figured this would be cheaper, and easier todo than to extended the frame. Now the part I need help with is if I were to shorten the frame, how much of bed I would lose (my math came out to about 2ft), and where I would find a cab for my truck. (Im in North Flordia so there isnt much near me). And what would you recommend me do, shorten the bed or extend the frame. I do love having a decent size bed so I wouldnt want a too short of one but any help would be so grateful!
