I've got an Airaid on mine. I used the same brand on my last 7.3 SD, so thought it would work with the little 5.0.
If you hope to gain anything but looks and sound, don't bother, the stock intake is already a CAI, and provides more air than the engine can use.
Don't fall for the hype.

The sound I get sounds like an olde muscle car when you'd kick in the four barrel.

After hours of research and videos, agree. Stock intake (air box) gives best fresh, cooler air. The only thing you should change for cai upgrade, is filter of course, and just change the intake tube to a smoother, better design which is usually a lil bigger diameter. These, "cold air kits" generally pull more air from engine compartment than the factory box that pulls from inside fender, which is cooler and almost 100% fresh air.

Add a five star tune for real seat of the pants feel of more power and torque.

I'm using an S&B - great price, well made and draws air from the stock location, not from under hood. Had a Borla muffler installed at a shop using 3" in and out which was MUCH less than buying a kit on line and I did not have to crawl under it to install! (I'm old)
Now just waiting for the 5Star tunes for the new SCT Livewire
